PROP SHORTAGE

The Washington Post reports that President 40 percent had trouble yesterday filling a room in Washington:
Only a few hundred members showed up for the hastily organized event at a Washington hotel and empty chairs were removed from the back of the ballroom before Bush arrived.
Worse, as Think Progress reveals, the president's flacks were reduced to begging. A "desparate" email went around the night before the event asking registered guests to bring their friends. And it didn't work. The room was still lees-than full. Pretty sad, when POTUS can't attract a crowd to listen to him do his English impersonations.

Next, I suppose the president will bring blow-up dolls and cardboard cutouts for the empty chairs. Or he could just go back to diverting busy firefighters from important rescue duties.

Uniforms make such a great bakground tableau.
