Repeat

Yakov Menken is running protestations and excuses about television again, so I think it's appropriate for me to point you to this post of mine, a post which describes how Jews once understand that achdus was more important than being stringent.

Unfortunately, the gang at Cross Currents (Jewish) has it exactly backwards.

PS - Is there another group of bloggers as frequently misunderstood as the Cross Current Contributors? The top two posts at Cross Currents today both chastise readers for failing to grasp the point of earlier posts. That's right boys: Blame the readers. It's their collective stupidity - and not your bad writing and bad arguments - that is at fault.

Update: As some careful readers have noticed, I, myself, have occasionally blamed the readers. Mea culpa. Mea sola culpa. Mea maxi culpa. But don't we expect more from the august team at CC?
