Empire chicken recalled

A Queens firm is recalling about 5,760 pounds of chicken possibly tainted with listeria parasitic bacteria, the U.S. Agriculture Department said yesterday.
Schreiber Processing Corp. of Maspeth has received no reports of illness, the recall said.

The recalled products are 48-ounce boxes of Empire Kosher Fully Cooked Buffalo Style Wings, Chicken Wings Coated in Sauce, with date code 1444, and 28-ounce boxes of Empire Kosher Fully Cooked, Breaded, Fried Chicken, six to nine assorted pieces, with date code 0274.

They were distributed to retail stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and a number of other states.
