Election Wrap up

Good News:  The worst of the worst --including Iott, O'Donnel, Miller, Angle, Fiorina, McMahon, and Paladino - all lost. Don't underestimate that blessing, Democrats. I'm very happy to see the insane candidates came up empty. Well done Republicans. Let's do it again to Palin in 2012.

Mystery: What happened to Obama's minions? Why did the voters who carried Obama two years ago desert him? If (like me) they think Obama was too timid and did too little, why punish him by supporting people who will further hamstring him?

Odd Irony: Russ Feingold (D), who was widely considered a highly ethical, and upstanding politician was defeated. David Vitter (R) who frolicked with hookers was re-elected in a landslide. Not sure how this jives with GOP narratives about honor and dignity and personal responsibility.

Can we set the record straight? It was Bush, not Obama who bailed out the banks.

What happens next? Other than further cutting taxes for millionaires, what's on the agenda for the new Republican Congress? They all say they want to shrink government and cut spending, but none of them seem to be able to name a program they'd actually gut. Are they just going to waste a lot of time trying to pin some high crime or misdemeanor on Obama? That was the big accomplishment last time a Democrat President had the blessing of a GOP House.

What best sums up your view of last night's election?
Election? What election?
Hooray! The GOP won! A glorious new world starts now!
Thank goodness the Teabaggers mostly lost.
Gosh darn it. Back to square one Democrats.
