[Bush's] support for a Palestinian State was announced exactly three weeks to the day after 9/11/2001, thus proving that terrorism works to change the policies of the country you attack. That announcement came on the first day of Sukkot, so most Orthodox Jews missed it.
He also authored the Road Map, which departed from the policy of Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Bush 41, which was "Land for peace". The order of the events called for in the Road Map would be best called "Land for an unenforcable promise of peace".
Unfortunately most Orthodox Zionists I have met who supported Bush never read the Road Map. Many did not believe me when I explained what it contained. They continue to believe with perfect faith that Bush would never support such policies.
