Booya

Charlie Hall:
Overall I would give contemporary American society an A-, because we are allowed to practice our religion with less interference than at just about any time since that of the Roman Republic. That same tolerance of "blatent homosexuality, public sexuality, deviancy defined down, and an extreme 'liberal' agenda" also accepts nutty groups who dress funny, won't eat in most restaurants, won't work or drive one day a week and a lot of additional days, don't have any idea what the most popular television programs are, and pray a lot. And a lot more Jews go off the derech because of McDonald's than because of Gay culture! Besides, a lot of that 'liberal agneda' is consistent with what our prophets said about justice; lassez-faire capitalism is not a torah value.
Sing it brother.

As Charlie explains, freedom is good for everyone. If our society refuses to tolerate homosexuals (who hurt no one but themselves if, indeed, they hurt anyone at all) why should it tolerate Jews? And his point about economic and civil justice as liberals understand it being most consistant with the Torah is one that should be proclaimed from the rooftops (if not the pulpit) of every shteible in Brooklyn.
