Tough Call

Report
The Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit is suing the Michigan High School Athletic Association, claiming that its practice of scheduling basketball tournament games is discriminatory.

The academy, a 5-year-old school of 162 students, was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round, but it is continuing with the lawsuit. It refuses to play from sundown Friday to sunset Saturday because of the Jewish Sabbath
So, who do you support? The Jews, who wish only to play basketball and keep Shabbos, in the manner of their forefathers? Or, the Athletic Association which insists that it is unfair for a single school to disrupt their schedule.

My sympathy is with the Jews, but I think the law is with the MHSAA.
