Sounds like a good idea, and we'd clap, too, but it's so much more fun to pick on the words that passed through Mr. Bush's lips on the day he signed the act:
This nation will keep watch; we will make sure that the ancient impulse of anti-Semitism never finds a home in the modern world."Um... modern world? When does he think the "modern world" came into being? Last week? Pius 9? Edgardo Levi-Mortara? Pius 12? the Holocaust? La Croix? The Damascus Blood libel? Dryfuss?
Did none of this happen in the "modern word?"
