BANNED BY THE BBC

Maariv is reporting that CNN, BBC, and Eurosport are refusing to air paid ads regarding Ron Arad, the missing IAF navigator.

The knee-jerk response, of course, is "those anti semites!" But is it so simple? Without knowing the content of the Arad ads it's impossible to judge the fairness of the networks' decision.

Tight-lipped Brits to the end, the BBC refused to comment. CNN says they don't run ads about political issues. Eurosport says the same.

Is that true? More on this story as it develops.

DovBear readers are asked and encouraged to submit examples of CNN or Eurosport airing ads about "political issues."

UPDATE: Paul (Shaviv?) in the comments tells us that the BBC never takes paid advertisements. So Maariv got the facts wrong. Wonder if a pro-BBC-version of honest reporting.com will now pummel Maariv for being anti British?
