"GOD BLESS HIS SOUL"

Who said that? President Bush. About Who? Yassar Arafat

The Internet is abuzz with news of the Chairman's death. At this point, we don't know if he's alive or dead - the reports are contradictory. But we do know that "newly re-elected President George Bush said "God bless his soul" when a reporter told him at a White House press conference that Arafat had died"

Let's be clear: I don't care. The presidents words were not praise. The president wasn't blessing Arafat and it wasn't anything like saying boruch dayan emes. This is just an automatic response from a simple man upon the news that someone - anyone - has died. It's meaningless, and no one on either side should make anything from it.

Of course, if Clinton or Kerry were to speak kindly about Arafat, you can be sure LGF and his mindless minions would go on the attack. Rush would interupt his victory dance (hour 46 and counting) to let us know that Kerry and Arafat were close personal friends and also lovers, who supported gay marriage and wanted to tax you to pay for it. Sean inSanity would dedicate a special FOX News Hour Report to the story, during which he would utter not one comprehensible phrase. The swift boat vetrans for lies, slander hatred and division would reassemble to produce additional anti-Kerry ads. The New York Post would run a headline reading "Kerry (hearts) Arafat"

But you won't hear that sort of slanderous blather from Dov Bear. I know the president's heart, this time, was in the right place.

Plus, he very well might be too stupid to know any better. And, as my sources have pointed out, it's probable that the president thinks Yasser Arafat is a rich Suadi prince, or one of his family's other allies among the terrorist elite.

Meanwhile, the Arafat deathwatch continues, as the world waits and hopes...
