Yored Doros

Madison wrote the Federalist Papers. Lincoln gave us the Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural, the "sacred effort,” many call the greatest American speech of all time.

And what about the twentieth century? Well, Kennedy was a Pulitzer Prize winner, but from there it’s been downhill. From an article about the raw material GWB might have available for his expected memoirs:

His father [Bush Sr.] wrote letters and kept a diary; Clinton taped conversations about his life with former speechwriter Ted Widmer. But President Bush does not write e-mail... He scribbles thank-you notes and greeting cards with a black Sharpie marker.

One we presume Dick Cheny taught him how to operate.
