Note the casual lie

Report:

"I'm looking forward to getting down there and just kind of settling in," Bush told reporters from Texas newspapers during a roundtable interview at the White House on Monday. "I'll be doing a lot of work. On the other hand, I'll also be kind of making sure my Texas roots run deep."

Texas roots? Texas roots? Let's review shall we?

W. was born in New Haven, Connecticut. His mother is a matronly upper-class twit from Westchester. His father is a rep-tie wearing WASP, also from Connecticut, who attended Yale. His grandfather, another WASP from Yale, served as a Senator from Connecticut; and until he decided to run for president, W was a WASP from Yale himself with Phillips Academy Andover, and Harvard on his resume.

Those are Connecticut roots, not Texas roots. And only the dimmest, red-state, pig farmer would think otherwise.
