YOUR JEFF GANNON CHEAT SHEET

Who is Jeff Gannon? Not up to date yet on the big scandal?

Read ahead, true believers:

1 - Jeff Gannon was a reporter with Talon News, who developed a reputation for asking softball questions during press briefings. Frequently, the press secretary Scott McClellan turned to him for a "lifeline" where the questions get rough.

2 - On Monday, bloggers, including Atrios alleged that "Jeff Ganon" is a pseudonym.

3 - Additional digging reveals that Gannon has links to at least three male prostitution sites.

4 - Yesterday, Gannon resigned from his post as a WHite House correspondant, as more and more evidence emerges to suggest that "Gannon" isn't his real name, and that his ties to male prostitution are real..

Ameriblog sums it up:
Just imagine if some guy with alleged ties to male prostitution were given unprecendented access to the White House, and given a White House press pass that didn't even have his real name on it, in order to throw fake softball questions at the press briefings to help make the president look good.

Now imagine that president were named Bill Clinton.
And see if you still think the media is "liberal" 24-hours from now.
