CNN helpfully lets us know that: "In Arab culture, throwing shoes at someone...is considered an insult." Thanks CNN, wasn't sure if Arab culture saw it that way. If it wasn't for you, I might have thought throwing a shoe is like throwing a garland in Arab culture.
Regardless of how one feels about Bush or Iraq, I would hope that this sight angers you and frightens you a bit as you wonder what would have happened if it wasn't a shoe.
