10 things every Jew shoud know

Between ourselves, I think it would be fun to compile a list of the things every Orthodox Jew should know.

Here's one to get the ball rolling:

1 - Every Orthodox Jew should know that the following positions fit the "authentic torah true mesorah"

a- Disbelieving in magic. The Rambam said none of it's real and that's good enough for me.

b - Refusing to take midrahsim literally. The Ramchal said most aren't meant to be taken literally, and Shmuel HaNagid said we're free to pick and choose among them as we see fit. That's good enough for me.

c - The old universe. The Tiferes Yisroel said that universe is millions of years old, and saw the fossils of creatures like the mammoth as proof that this was true. Oh, and professional scientists have published rigorous, peer reviewed papers on the subject. That's good enough for me.
