Rabbi Yakov Horowitz is the dean of Yeshiva Darchei Noam in Monsey, NY and the director of the Center for Jewish Family Life/Project YES. He keeps a good website and blog where he writes about keeping children safe in today's world among many other important issues.
Rabbi Horowitz was the scholar in residence of a pesach hotel program I went to about 10 years ago and is the only SIR I remember from about eight years of hotels. I cant tell you who they were in any of the other programs I attended. He stood out then in my mind for his sanity and rationalism in a world where rabbis and rosh yeshivas seem to lack both.

The rabbi is also active on twitter and has posted some great tweets today:

To clarify; 3rd call from parents who just found out that their kid was abused. And FYI we always tell them to go to police

Any head of a kehila who does not have parent training for child safety/abuse prevention should be put in cherem.

Think women putting on Tefilin is a huge problem? Maybe take a few calls from parents whose kids were sodomized.
