Whenever Sarah Palin opens her mouth my opinion of John McCain gets a little worse. Here's stupid Sarah on Chik-A-fil

And the owner of the Chick-fil-A business had merely voiced his personal opinion about supporting traditional definition of marriage, one boy, one girl, falling in love, getting married. And having voiced support for kind of that cornerstone of all civilization and all religions since the beginning of time, he then basically [is] getting crucified."The First Amendment only guarantees you the right to speak without the government interfering. It doesn't promise to protect your feelings from other citizens who might disagree with you. The owner of the Chik-fil-a business can say what he likes, and those who think he is nuts can say what they like. The hope, of course, is that the two opposing sides might listen to each other, and that the better idea will win. Sure, that rarely happens, but we have the First Amendment to protect the possibility that it might happen.
Also, "One boy, one girl, falling in love, getting married" was not the cornerstone of civilization, nor of any western religion. Surely Sarah remembers that Father Jacob and Father Abraham had more than one wife, and that Jacob outright hated Leah. .
