When Rabbis go wrong

"I am simply speechless at the ignorance and the insensitivity."
"Referring to a soldier or police officer who takes part or assists in the evacuations, Tzuriel told Army Radio, "Some years thereafter, if he suffers a malignant disease or a fatal road accident, everyone will know where he got it from."
Got that everyone? If someone participates in the Gaza withdrawal, but YEARS FROM NOW falls out of a tree, or gets hit by a bus, all religious people can and should be 100 percent certain that his death resulted not just from sin, but from THIS sin in particular.

What's more offensive? The stupidity or the arrogance of people who prattle on like this? And why haven't they been forcibly removed from positions of influence and power? It's the lasting embaressment of the Jewish people that we tolerate madmen like Tzuriel.
