So here's what I did while Apu, the brain of Brunei, napped.
[You may hum the theme to Mission Impossible as you read. I've found this makes the adventure, well, more like an adventure]
1 - I sent the offending file to myself via FTP.
2 - I, and my good friend and neighbor, the local computer guru, used Linex, Pasquelle, Herbert, and possibly even BASIC to repair the file.
3 - I sent it back to myself via FTP
4 - Ta - freaking - dah. It worked perfectly.
Tommorow, I call Apu (collect if possible) to let him know that I no longer require his services.
