The evil anti-Semites who run the new York Times went too far last year. If you recall, a few Jews got together to sponsor a Sukkah design competition. The entries had to follow halacha, but otherwise the sky was the limit. (One finalist constructed a sukka from signs he stole or bought from homeless people) For two days, the finalists were on display in Bryant Park; rather than ignoring it, the Jew-hating Times wrote a whole article about it, and published a slide show.
