SHOMER NEGIAH is back -- and has been back, in fact, since Monday. For those who joined us after the golden age of Jewish blogging ended (Remember: Jameel took responsibility for killing the party) SHOMER NEGIAH was a 34 year old Jewish woman who had never been kissed, or been in a real relationship. Her blog was one of the great ones, full of long, well-written meditations on sex, Orthodox Judaism, and the nice little lies we tell nice Jewish girls about sex and Orthodox Judaism.
Six years later, nothing has changed, except now she's 40. Still single. Still a virgin. Still miserable. Very sad. I hope that this is the year in which she finds the happiness she seeks.
