Last week, YeshivaWorld used scare quotes to make it clear that he didn't think the new mayor of Teaneck was especially frum. Now, he wants you to know that he doesn't think any Jew who works for a living can be much of a learner.

According to Webster's a scholar is "One who attends school or studies with a teacher; a student." If Joel goes to Daf Yomi-- or even if all he did was finish 12 years of a typical yeshiva education- he qualifies.
