....a gross and tasteless insult

Ok, I give.

"Kapo" wasn't the best name to give my post on David Rosen, and others who make a career of kissing the Pope's toes. I submit that you misunderstood my intention, but I should have forseen that, and I should have been more careful. To all who were offended, I apologize.

My central point, however, remains: The Church's teeth aren't blunted by meetings with Jewish speechmakers, but by the free press, and by liberal governments that refuse to kowtow to Rome. Do you think for one second that the church would be lovey-dovey toward the Jews if the Popes still held the papal states, and the political power they once enjoyed? The church didn’t change because the church is good. The church changed b/ liberalism dragged them kicking and screaming into the modern era. And if it weren’t for liberalism, they’d gladly go back to the inquisitions and the rest. Men like David Rosen aren't the reason the Church no longer steals Jewish babies or preaches about the inferiority of Jews. For that sea change, we have no one to thank but the liberals.

It is time for Jews to say to Catholics your god is not our God. After 2000 years they can no longer hurt us us -not because their beliefs are benign - but because of the goodness of the One True God who sent the politics of liberalism to blunt their evil designs. So, why the unseemly rush to gain their favor and to receive their worthless praise? Why the self-satisfied press releases every time the Pope pins a medal on the chest of another Jewish politician? Why the excitment at every half-recognition and every petty compliment? The Catholics are old news, on the decline, and down with a wasting disease.

Better our diplomats should curry good relations with the liberals and/or the Muslims. They, not the Catholcs, are the next big thing.
