Extra, Extra, DovBear snubbed again

A very interesting article appeared in the despicable mainstream media recently. It concerned blogs, and failed to mention ours.

I don't expect the World Jewish Digest to know everything. Especially, seeing as how it's published in Chicago. But, because the article was written by our good pal, Sarah Bronson, we are a bit hurt. A smidgen, anyway.

However, the article isn't all bad. Sarah does right by the RenReb, the Hedyot, Hassid, On the Fringe, and little miss Never Been Kissed, so we're tempted to forgive the snub of this humble blog. And, the truth is, even though Sarah didn't mention DovBear by name, she worked in our reason for existing, other than insulting TobyKatz
Seldom in the “real” world do Jews of all flavors discuss controversial topics with such raw, and often painful, candor. The discussions may sometimes devolve into the profane, they may often involve more kvetching than true enlightenment, but sometimes —sometimes—readers come to a consensus and admit the unthinkable: “You made me understand your branch of Judaism in a way I hadn’t before.”
Plus, given the leanings of the author, and the structure of her sentance, it's more than a little obvious that the one tiny mention of LGF was tacked on by the editors, meaning Sarah snubbed Charles, too.

And that, friends, makes up for everything.

Update Thanks for the emails of support, ladies and gentlemen. And your ideas are always welcome. However, there are two things we will not do:

1 - Mock Sarah for mentioning her own blog in the article. Who among us wouldn't have done the same? In fact, we have done the same.

2 - Label her "sell-out-Sarah" for choosing to publish her review of the blogs in the dead-trees old media, rather than on her own blog. There's nothing wrong with following the money. A girl's got to eat. In fact, editors and publishers take note: DovBear also writes for cash.
