WHO WANTS A RE-VOTE?

Ok, right wingers, I give in. You were right. I was wrong. Bush is fantatstic for Israel. Nope, he's nothing like Clinton. Not at all. With Bush in the White House, Israel gets a free hand. To do what it wants. Just like you all promised.

Bwahahahahahaha!

Bush Would Invite Abbas to White House

Money Quote:
"I think it's going to be very important for Israel to fulfill its obligation on the withdrawal from the territories that they have pledged to withdraw from," the president said. Bush said, "It is essential that Israel keep a vision of two states living side-by-side in peace; and that, as the Palestinians begin to develop the institutions of a state, that the Israel government support the development of those institutions and recognize that it is essential that there be a viable economy, that there be a viable health care system, that people be allowed to start building a society that meets their hopes and needs."
He doesn't sound like a tough Texan anymore, does he?

A note to the e-mailers and the comments who think I don't read the paper
YES!! I know Bush has been in favor of a Palestenian state for years. And yes, I know Bush also been giving Israel critisim, for year, most notably about the security fence he opposed until 2004. Yet, it is an unchallanged article of faith among conservatives that Bush favors (a) the stutus quo and (b) allowing Israel to do virtually anything what it wants viz a viz the Palestenians.

The conservatives are wrong and despite loads of evidence to the contrary refuse to admit it.
