WHY I DON'T GIVE A $@#*$ ABOUT THE ELECTION RESULTS:Simple: It doesn't matter. Not a drop. RFK and all the liberals lied. Nobody's life is ever improved though politics -- unless you're a politician yourself, of course, and I'm betting not one of my six loyal readers plays that dirty game.

The very last word, therefore, goes to that phony-par-excellance, George Will, writing in the current Newsweek:

"After such extravagant rhetoric, people need to be reinoculated against a social disease of the last two centuries -- inflated expectations for politics. As the dust settles, remember William Butler Yeats's deft deflation of politics:

Parnell came down the road, he said to a cheering man:
Ireland shall get her freedom and you still break stone."
