Just as soon as I finish building my time machine, I am going to head back to the 18th century, back to old Lithuania at the time when Hasidut first took form.
Here is what I expect to find:
1 - Rabbis condemning the first Hasidim in language eerily similar to the language used today to condemn Berg and the Kabbalah center.
2 - Lots of poor, hungry, unhappy, uneducated Jews. You'll find no shtetl-envy on these pages.
3 - Elvis (is he everywhere or not?)
